So its obvious I haven't been posting in a few months. My desktop had an accident. I dropped it... (don't ask). The good news is that I'm back up and running, and I'll be getting back to work soon. but not before I take a complete backup of the project. I'm going to also do a bit of reorganizing, and probably put some kind of automatic backup in place. Just to make things clear: This project will be continued until either shut down by someone powerful, or completed, or I die (although contingencies could be made for that). Expect some new posts soon.
Just wanted to say I am real excited about this project. Can't wait to see what you do!!

To anyone who comments or sends me an email. I read every single one the moment I get the email notification. I may not have time to reply but leave me a message. It's motivating

Progress is indeed slow. I'm working twice as much as I used to giving me even less time that I can dedicate to this project. I'm building a home studio and I'll be recruiting helpers in my local area soon. I hope to have some major updates this year. The thing that holds me back is consistent quality. I've said before that I'm not the best texture artist in the world, but I don't want one area of grass to look like needles while another looks like clovers. My goal is to make an HD capable version of the original game with few graphics improvements. This is not everyone's goal, which is why my texture project stands out. Other people may work quicker, or release previews, or even complete their projects. But mine is slow and consistent.

That's really respectable, and I know a translation group currently working on a PSP text-heavy visual novel game who have the same ideals. The game hasn't had a successful translation project so far, but these guys are taking it on in a small group and trying to work steadily as you say.
In my opinion, being consistent is much better than either working in bursts, or having disparities in quality. So thanks very much for working on this!

I'm still here. I won't make any promises to when the project will be completed, but I won't shut it down. I'm not sure why I didn't get a notification to your comment though. Sorry for the 4 month delay in replying.
